3 Tips For The Perfect Fake Tan
How do I fake tan correctly?
How do I fake tan? This is the question we are asked the most often on our social media platforms. Having tanned, glowing, healthy skin certainly goes a long way to boost confidence and make you feel good, even on a nippy spring afternoon! How do we self-tan without looking ridiculous? Without giving ourselves away to fakery? Let’s face it, we all want to look natural – like we’ve just stepped off a beach in Mauritius and landed on your Instagram feed.
There are many credible articles from hugely dependable resources like Vogue’s ‘expert guide to applying foolproof fake tan’; or Glamour magazine’s ‘how to apply fake tan so good that it looks real’; even the incredible Mrs Hinch has taken time away from the loo to reveal more of her secrets, including tanning.
Daily, millions visit the world wide web to ask ‘how-to’s’, follow the latest trends on TikTok and have a peek at their neighbour’s back yard on Facebook. It’s inconceivable to me that, of all the questions you can ask Google, the most common choice is ‘How do I fake tan?’
The answer to the perfect self-tan is The Tan Brush! A big, bold statement, I know, but it’s the truth. If I didn’t believe in this little beauty, I wouldn’t be writing this blog.
The Tan Brush stands out from the crowd; she is head and shoulders above her competitors, I refer to the brush as feminine in a tongue in cheek fashion, but it’s hard not to think of her as anything else. She’s stunningly beautiful; feels good to touch; she’s classy, sassy and a little bit bad assy. An individualistic woman of substance. She stands alone, without a mitt. She is cool!
A little melodramatic, you may think. Can I use lol in a blog? But this is how we feel about our brush. We knew there had to be a better way to apply tan, eliminating the reoccurring problems we all had or maybe still have if you haven’t been introduced to The Tan Brush yet.
Exasperated by streaks, patches, orange palms and messy knuckles, we couldn’t find an alternative, so we decided to create our brush.
Back to the question, How Do I, Fake Tan? I wouldn’t say I like the word ‘fake’ immensely, but here it is, our step by step guide to the perfect fake tan. You can purchase The Tan Brush here as you’ll need it.
1. Exfoliate, dry and moisturise the skin using a water based moisturiser; this is important as your tan will look better and last longer.
2. Apply your favourite self-tanning product; a little at a time; to the surface of The Tan Brush and brush it onto your skin.
3. Use The Tan Brush to buff the product into the skin for a natural-looking, flawless tan.
Your tan will be even, streak-free and without patches. If you miss a bit, apply more product to that area and buff it in. No one will ever know!
Once you discover how easy The Tan Brush is to use, you’ll never use a mitt again! Another significant statement, sorry! Karyn x
